The Tower of Moricq
Discover this feudal tower – classified as a historical monument – which dominates the western part of the Poitevin marshes.
Once a very active port, today a small village with the remains of medieval fortifications, Moricq has among its souvenirs of a bygone era a square tower from the 11th century, built to defend the port from the Norman invasions, which were very frequent at the time.
Located in Angles, in the Vendée, 8 minutes by car from the Fretille campsite, this visit to the tower overlooking the Poitevin marshes is a great idea for an excursion that the whole family will certainly enjoy!
